About Our Charity Partners

Our Charity Partners and Impact

The Co-Group is pleased to have collaborated with many charity partners.  We have worked with them to support and develop programs that provide benevolent relief to people with a disability and older Australians in need.  We thank them for their kindness and collaboration.  They, and their missions, are showcased on our community page.

• Australian Leukodystrophy Support Group - offer support by fostering member connections, providing service linkages, education, advocacy, crisis support, promoting current trends in treatments and research.

LocalKind - LocalKind Northern Beaches offers vital drop-in support to vulnerable individuals, addressing homelessness, domestic violence, and refugee settlement challenges through tailored, trauma-informed assistance.

Freedom Solutions - is a not-for-profit organisation that customises, designs and builds assistive technology solutions for people living with disability across New South Wales and Victoria.

• Keith's Closet - Keith’s Closet believes that people acquiring mental health services should have access to clothing, accessories, essential items and homewares in times of need whether in hospital or in the community.

• Debra Australia - deals issues with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) which is a rare disease whereby the skin blisters and peels at the slightest touch. Living with EB has been likened to living with third degree burns. It is very painful, and sufferers must be bandaged every day with dressings to protect and medicate their wounds.

• Turbans 4 Australia - Since 2015, Turbans 4 Australia has specialised in providing emergency goods to people in need regardless of their race, religion or ethnicity. The people we assist include those experiencing financial hardship, food insecurity, homelessness and unemployment, as well as those impacted by natural disasters such as bushfires, floods and drought.

HairAid - we do Hair Aid Community Cuts. This is where volunteer hair dressers go along to a location in their own community, and work with local groups that support people in need. Free hair cuts are gifted, providing dignity and respect and empowering them to take positive steps forward.

• Phoenix Community Project - Phoenix Community Project inc is a hybrid between a disability support service and a youth centre. We run on the philosophy that some risk is healthy in a safe environment and education is necessary to provide the knowledge for individuals with a disability to make informed and thought-out decisions.

• Flying Fox - Flying Fox tackles social isolation, equipping young adult volunteers to support participants with disability to develop independence, further their engagement in the community and thrive as equal members of society.

• C Care - C Care is a leading front-line community organisation supporting individuals and families experiencing food insecurity and social isolation.

• St Kilda PYC - our mission is to be a collaborative partner with government, community and business recognised for excellence in youth development. We are open, inclusive and accessible. PCYC provides movement, recreational, sporting, cultural and learning activities that support young people.

• Sexual Health Quarters - SHQ offers a range of clinical services including testing and treatment of STIs, contraception information and supply, unintended pregnancy support, medical abortion and cervical screening.

• Onemda - Onemda has been providing disability services in the community for 55 years, and the provision and access to supportive high-quality service delivery for participants and families remains at the heart of Onemda today. Our educators deliver evidence-informed and engaging group learning and development programs and pathways to support a variety of abilities and interests for adults 18+ years.
